Media Wall Installation Across North East

Our North East coverage takes in Newcastle upon Tyne, Gateshead, Sunderland, Durham, Darlington, and Middlesbrough, the furthest reach of our service area from our Manchester base.

Newcastle and Gateshead's Tyneside flats, a distinctive local housing type of stacked ground and upper-floor flats, present a slightly different brief to the terraces we are used to further south: rooms are often a little more compact, and we design media walls that make the most of the available wall space without overwhelming the room. Sunderland shares a similar mix of Victorian terraces and Tyneside-style flats.

Durham's mix of period city-centre properties and surrounding village housing calls for a similar careful approach to the chimney breast work we do in Manchester's Victorian terraces, while Darlington and Middlesbrough see more inter-war and post-war semi-detached housing, where a freestanding media wall on a plain wall is generally the more practical build.

Because the North East is the furthest part of our coverage area, we schedule these projects on dedicated route days to keep travel efficient while still giving every job a full home visit and made-to-measure design.

Tyneside flats around Newcastle, Gateshead, and Sunderland have their own layout quirks, and we design each media wall around the specific room rather than assuming a standard terrace layout, which is especially important in more compact upstairs flats.
