Media Wall Installation Across Merseyside

Merseyside covers Liverpool and St Helens for us, two boroughs with plenty of Victorian and Edwardian terraced housing alongside more modern estate developments.

In Liverpool, our work spans everywhere from the bay-fronted terraces of the inner suburbs to city-centre apartments, where fireplace media walls and slatted oak feature walls with LED cove lighting are consistently the most requested styles. Original coving, picture rails, and deep skirting are common in the older housing stock, and we design around these features rather than removing them.

St Helens' housing mix leans more towards inter-war and post-war semi-detached and terraced homes, where a straightforward fireplace media wall or freestanding slatted wall on a plain wall covers most of the work we do, along with a steady amount of TV mounting and cable concealment in smaller living rooms.

Liverpool's period housing stock rewards the same careful approach we use in Manchester's Victorian terraces: measuring the existing chimney breast, checking for a usable flue behind the plaster, and designing the media wall to sit as though it has always been part of the room.

In St Helens, where more of the housing is post-war and less likely to have a working chimney, we more often build a freestanding media wall from scratch on a plain wall, which gives more flexibility over exactly where the TV and storage sit within the room.
