Media Wall Installation in Macclesfield

Macclesfield's history as a silk town has left it with a strong stock of Georgian and Victorian townhouses close to the centre, alongside more affluent areas towards Prestbury and newer estate housing in Tytherington and Broken Cross. Bollington, on the edge of the Peak District, brings a similar stone-built character to what we see in Saddleworth.

In the town centre and streets near the old silk mills, Victorian terraces often have a working chimney breast, and fireplace media walls built into these existing recesses are our most common Macclesfield project. Prestbury, one of Cheshire's most affluent villages, brings larger period and executive homes where we build more ambitious full-height designs.

Tytherington and Broken Cross have a good number of 1990s and 2000s estate homes, where a freestanding media wall with a recessed fire suits the more contemporary open-plan layout typical of these properties. Bollington's stone cottages and converted mill buildings call for natural oak or walnut finishes to sit well against exposed stone.

Macclesfield is around 35 minutes from our Manchester base via the A34 and A523, and we visit regularly as part of our wider Cheshire and Peak District-edge coverage.

Macclesfield's range of property types, from Georgian town centre terraces to Prestbury's larger executive homes and Bollington's stone cottages, means a one-size approach does not work here, and we plan the design around your specific property from the first visit.

We know the practical differences that matter across SK10 and SK11, from typical chimney breast depth in a town centre terrace to how natural materials age against Bollington's stonework, and that experience translates into a more accurate quote once we see your room. That difference shows up most clearly in scheduling too: a Bollington cottage project usually needs a little longer to source and fit natural stone-complementing materials, while a Tytherington or Broken Cross freestanding build can typically be completed within a couple of visits.
